High Treason still not working with new patch
So I still can't get this to run. Immediately after the opening videos I get the EAccessViolation message that lapses into French. Direct Action runs without a problem. Does anybody have any ideas?

I have a similar problem. When I start the game I skip the two opening videos then it says "Act of War: High Treason has stopped working." When I cancel that screen it gives me the "EAccessViolation" error. I've tried launching it in compatibility mode, as an administrator, and even tried searching online.

It worked fine when I first bought it but when my computer restarted to install updates, I could no longer play the game.

Set DEP to opt in and then add the game's exe and it should work fine.

On win7 (not sure of the others)

Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Advanced tab > the settings button under 'performance' > Data Execution Prevention tab

(might be able to shortcut to advanced system settings or one of the others through the searchbar)

Your can either set it to only work on basic windows stuff, but for safety I just made an exception for the game exe.

Hope that helps.

I've added both EXE files for exception and checked them and after restarting my desktop nothing has happened.

Do you have Windows 7?

Yes, Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit

I have Windows 7 Home Premium. Have you tried verifying the game's cache? Or re-installing the game entirely? I know for me when I first bought the game it worked perfectly then when my computer restarted it stopped working completely. I was getting the error above.

Did you also set the compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Run as Administator?
