AoW - Mentor of the meek mana payment question
Bought AoW two days ago and finished unlocking it today. Have a problem with mentor of the meek and his ability to pay 1 mana to draw an extra card.

The problem is when choosing to pay 1 mana I don't know how to manually choose which mana to use. Have tried to use the same key I use for otherwise selecting mana when tapping(have it rebinded to mouse). Don't seem to work for the mentor.

What am I doing wrong? Obviosuly it's a problem not being able to select if you want to tap a plains or a mountain. The game most of the times makes the right choice but sometimes not.

So once again I know about how to manually choose mana when casting other spells. Just don't seem to work with the mentor.

To manually tap your lands, press Left CTRL. It will highlight the land(s), then you can make your decision.

Like I wrote using this already for every other spell but when I try it with the mentor it doesn't work. Perhaps I could be a case of me having rebinded left CTRL to one of my mousebuttons and mentor for some reason bugs out then? Didn't think about that earlier. Will see if the mentor works when left CTRL is not on my mouse. Going to rebind the key and see if works then.

edit: tried it just now, rebinding and didn't work. Guess they forgot to add a way to manually choose the mana cost for the mentors ability.

To clarify, the mentor says "Whenever another creature with power 2 or less enters the battlefield under your control, you may pay 1 mana. If you do, draw a card."

It is the "pay 1" which is impossible to manually select. You cast a creature, the mentor triggers its ability. The game then ask if you want to pay 1 colorless mana to draw a card. Hovering of the yes answer with your cursor while holding down/clicking the mana tap key does nothing. Clicking yes while holding down the key, same thing. The game just selects either a red or white mana for you. Choosing hte color which is in majority untapped or if both are equal in amount, randomly.

Oh well, guess it's not the end of the world. Pretty rare to find a situation where it matters but they do exist.

Huh, I see. I just tested it myself and it appears there is no option to select which mana to tap. I guess it just slipped passed the developers.
