Severe start up problem

Hi

When I start up the game I get to the loading screen with Jace, then after a moment of loading I get a single sound (probably the opening cinematic), this is followed by my screen turning black and then windows explorer crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, but each time I try to play this game I have to do a hard reset of my computer because I can't even Ctrl-Alt-Del. Any help that I could get with this matter would be great :)

I have this same problem (Windows explorer crashes on startup).

If I wait at a black screen for 2 or 3 minutes, the game eventually starts. The load times in parts of the game are still horrendous though, and sometimes the game minimizes/maximizes several times and hangs at black screens for long periods of time while loading campaign games.

I'm on Windows 7, 64 Bit.
