Due to compatibility issues, busy schedules, and other reasons we are not going to continue working on the mods right now. Some time in the future perhaps we'll finish it. We apologize for disappointing anyone.

There has been a delay for the early release date one of the modders left due to college and work. We have taken a little break from modding, but we are now ready to resume and get lots of work done.

Are you switching the online play away from GameSpy (which is defunct) and to Steam?

Yes, we will be doing something different than GameSpy. There are several programs that allow you to play online, but we are unsure what we will be using exactly to play online.

Side note: It may be a while before any release date.

This sounds pretty awesome. I thought for sure the community for this game was gone by now. The Kohan games are really good and don't get enough credit for the unique ideas they came up with.

Yeah, I thought the game was pretty good. Modding made it even more fun, it used to be my favorite strategy game.

I just found this thread, and i'm glad I have. I've been hoping for a long time for more Kohan content. Glad to see other fans of the series keeping it alive. I've yet to find a strategy game even close to it.

I want this to happen and im praying its not all talk. Screenshots or a webpage would go far in bringing people back into the game and get new ones playing too.

Yeah, I will post it on some mod website and some screenshots when we have enough good content for an early release. I'll try to get a couple screenshots posted here soon.
