Server browser glitch, or no servers?
I just reinstalled this game, and for every game-mode with no filters whatsoever there is not a single server. No amount of refreshing changes it, so is there really not a single server or person playing this game?

I've encountered the same problem; however, there are some online server's I've noticed a few open lately so that means folks are holding severs up to play with other's. I've been playing with a fellow mate for a while now through an online US EST server we found. Hit me up, add me if you like.

Up until last week, we still had some TG servers (East, Central, etc). I hope it's just a glitch and not that they are finally gone for good, otherwise I might have to fork out some cash (or try to collaborate) to get a decent 32-player conquest server online. The reason is because all the private hosts right now seem to have an infatuation with tiny maps and only 16 players. I'm not sure why. I'm not saying that I don't appreciate seeing some servers, but 4-CP 32 player maps are simply better. It's like they got mad at having to manage too much at once.

There are no servers active, unless hosted by a private person aka regular gamer. There will be no "ranked" or "dedicated" servers in the future.

Unless of course, the old/new license holder manages to scrape something together, along wiht a new DLC to finance the whole thing.

Sucks that the company went bankrupt. I'm guessing that the first Section 8 game left too much of a bad taste in everyone's mouth. There were also a lot of people that probably chose not to buy this game solely for the fact that it used GFWL. I would have been one of the people that wouldn't have bought it if steam had some kind of warning on the page stating that it used GFWL as its DRM system.

nothing is wrong with the GFWL it's just like your xbox live account...don't really see how that would turn someone away from the game...yes the company did go down the drain...but I still like the game..and found a few friends to play with but yeah...such is life

company died because it got sued and lost. it lost 7 million in fines and all rights and royalties to the game.

Why did it get sued??
*ViktorFrankenstein* Jul 29, 2013 @ 10:11pm
Well, the company that made the first "Section 8" game sued them.

Timegate did make both Section 8 games. It was the publisher of the first one that they were involved in a lawsuit with.
