This game is such a fun little game and I've played probably 20 hours in the non-steam version and it's still a great little game. Is it worth $10? Maybe, but it may be a little pricey for a game that's just here for you to relax in. It's a steal for 2$ when it goes on sale and well worth the price. Even after 6 years the game's art still holds up for me and is very nice to play at night to just take some time and enjoy with.
Might be worth a look at deep discount for research, but it's ultimately disappointing.
The controls are broken: my L-stick stops sending move commands after some hard manuevering, although popping into the menu and back usually fixes it; the menu can't be navigated with a controller, and the track-pad mouse (stream controller) is unreliable; and the keyboard commands - obviously the design's preferred option - are all over the place and can't be re-bound.
On top of that, the "mission" directions are unclear or wrong. One example: early on the game tells you to ignore ships, strongly implying they can't hurt you - but they can and they will set you back.
