If you aren't going to offer a method to change the controls, please use reasonable defaults at least. With a german keyboard layout (and probably many others) you can't even access the "interface" and the game is unplayable.

I've never had a complaint about a german keyboard layout before. Is this Windows, Mac or Linux version? Have you tried any of the alternate control schemes? I'm guessing what's happened here is that you're using the Mac version, and the Mac version doesn't have as many alternate control schemes because of all those annoying OSX shortcuts.

I wasn't sure if this would be an issue or not, but if it is then I'm thinking I will add in the ability to override the controls with a config file (on all versions).

I don't have an issue as an American, but I know lots of people use 'azerty' keyboards (french, I think) that would make it really hard to use the default controls if they don't like arrow keys. A key config really should be implemented.

This is embarrassingly overdue (the game was released 18 months ago, and only just now I'm doing this) but I've now added configurable controls with a config file in the latest update.

Well sorry for the people having problems i just tried the demo works great for me and i see your posts very nice of you to take the time out of your other projects to help people with problems i will definitely be buying it today.
