Is there a way to fix an issue where I'm stuck after the match ends and I'm forced to ALT+F4 out of the game?

Since its going to be delisted from steam and you guys have moved on and its fairly old why not take a move from ID software and release the source code online. Let people tinker with it learn from it make mods or revive a dead game. It has worked out very well with any other games that have gone this route....
