A message for the developers and for potential purchasers of Slam Bolt Scrappers
It took me 4 hours to complete the game on normal difficulty and you DEFINATELY will want to use a controller.

I really enjoyed the game, the combo of brawler / puzzle / "tower defense" actually works...and its pretty fantastic.

Most brawlers don't excite me...
...most tower defense games bore me...
..."tetris" puts me to sleep...

BUT... you combine all three of them and its freaking spectacular...nerdy fun synergy.

They pulled it off.

Watch some YouTube lets plays...or just believe me and buy it. I recommend you snag it while its on sale though *see below*

So yes, buy it people.

I'd like to suggest the following to the developers.

More levels. Its a good price when on sale though for what you get, but I think more would definately be better.

This game SCREAMS for online multiplayer, and some sort of competitive ladder / ranking system or even tournaments.

We need more combo moves for brawling with.

Thanks for making a cool game...I just wish there was more to it.

And thanks for putting it on sale.

Hey, thanks for the great comments! Though I don't have my "green" font status for my forum ID just yet, I was responsible for the Windows version of this game. I'll pass along to Fire Hose Games about more levels, though it's not likely to be added. Networked multiplayer is something I want to do if I get some downtime with other projects, but I don't know if/when that will happen.

I think the game would sell like mad if ya had the competitive online multiplayer + leaderboards, but I know its probably a lot of work to implement a feature like that.

It's true, and in the case of Slam Bolt Scrappers, I think that networked gameplay might be extra hard due to the intimate nature of the gameplay (up-close brawl type of interaction). But, I still hope to have a chance to try it out. As for leaderboards, in case it helps, there are at least single-player leaderboards in the game using the Steam leaderboard SDK.

I stand by what I said in the original post and I do recommend the game, especially now that its on sale again. IMO you'll definately want to have a controller as I've said before.

Add this game to your library. You will enjoy it--its a good value--I just really wish there was more to it.

I beat it within an hour, but you know what I think for the two dollars I paid it will see plenty of use. I plan on buying enough controllers for a full house so that the next time the hoarde visits they can play this.

I have played several games in this genre (PQ, Puzzlefighter, etc) but the kinetic aspect of beating up monsters for peices to make guns appeals to me on a base level of awesomeness. The campaigns a bit short, and I hate Uber Entertainment; But I think Slam Bolt Scrappers is an entertaining battle game.

If it helps, Fire Hose Games is the company behind Slam Bolt Scrappers, and Uber Entertainment is just the license holder of one of the characters we added to Slam Bolt Scrappers. :)
