im afraid more ppl might be playing the original nexuiz on linux than this version.

It's funny you say that Tuti. I've actually been playing it on Linux and was looking at this copy on Steam. I've enjoyed the Linux version and I knew about this version, so I'm downloading the demo right now.

Well some people were playing online for a while last year, but no one is playing this year that I've seen.

I still play it. But now I can't connect to servers for some reason. :(

Yeah, all of the servers are down for me as well. :/

What I think is going on is that they gave too much stuff in the demo and now there is no real reason to get the full version unless you want to play online.

some threads were taken down. i think it's an indicator that commercial nexuiz will be resurrected under a new format. the threads that were taken down were discussing plans to keep the game going through lan workarounds; bypassing the other network requirements which the THQ bust had taken with it.

speculation is that the devs are relocating everything as well as the possibility of free to play.

I don't mind if it goes the TF2 path of Free-To-Play. What I mean by that is that they keep the entire game intact. The old Nexuiz back on Linux was freeware so I wouldn't be surprised if this happens.
