Weapon pack DLC for GNU/Linux + non-DLC servers?
Hi,

Now that I can play Steelstorm via Steam, I have a problem again: the DLC I bought on Desura is not here. Apart from missing weapons, it also means I can't join multiplayer servers.

So 2 requests/suggestions:
1) Make some DLC servers available as well, so people who didn't buy it, can at least test the multiplayer!
2) Make the DLC show up (and work of course) under the GNU/Linux platform category. I don't know if the process is already underway or not, but it should be done.

Other than that, glad to see the game still works fine and that some new user-created content has been added.
And that Steelstorm 2 is coming along nicely. :)

Hi KIAaze. Why would DLC you bought for another platform show up on Steam o.O
Steam has its own DLC (same, but delivered through Steam). You can simply copy DLC files from gamedata/ of your Desura's SS:BR folder to your Steam folder and it will work (Steam won't show you own DLC, but who cares - you'll have it in-game)

DLC ownders can play on DLC and with non-DLC servers. Not otherwise.

All official servers, if still running, are DLC enabled. So if you have DLC, you can play. If not, host your own server or get DLC or find available non-official server without DLC. Since official multiplayer servers have been always empty, I don't think I should keep them running and waste resources. People usually run their own servers when they have someone to play with.

DLC is not bound to any platform. So it shows up for any OS. When you visit SS:BR's page on Steam in Steam client on Linux, don't you see DLC there? (it's under 4-pack in smaller font)

Thanks :) There is a new user-made campaign coming soon. I just need to author it and push it to Steam.
