Try these fixes if game doesn't work - enable windowed mode and disable music

I added some commandline options that you can use if you are having problems with the game.

-window
Makes the game run in windowed mode, though I wouldn't necessarily do this unless you are actually having problems with the game. It is not as well tested as fullscreen mode.

-720window
Makes the game run in windowed mode where the window size is 1280×720. If -window does not work than -720window usually does.

-nomusic
If your game crashes when you goto start new game this will fix the problem. However a better alternative is to install windows media player, so you can have music.

I try to start with one of the batch files, but then it always says "Steam must be running to play this game (SteamAPI_init() failed). What do I need to do, so that the game realizes that steam is already running?

When I start the game from the steam client, it crashes to desktop after entering the new game door. I tried repairing my XNA 3.1 installation to no avail.

OS: Win 7 64 bit prof.

The same problem. Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 3.1 is installed.

you need to use []

don't need to play the game to get the card, just open it and minimize, and leave it running
