Try updating your graphics card driver first.

If that doesn't fix it, it could be a memory issue or a compatability issue. You might want to find the supremecommander application .exe file, and under it's properties change the compatabiliy setting. Also you can disable Windows areo graphics while the game is running to free up some memory if that is the issue... also your graphics card will probably thank you too.

This works for some people but it could be that other backround programs may also be using resources that game tries to use when it transitions from the end of a campaign into the briefing room. You can try truning those programs off or Ctrl+alt+dlte and under task manager see what's using up your memory and processor while the game is running. This should only be done though if you have a lower end system such as a single core 2.0ghz cpu and 2gigs of ram.

This game is really meant for 64bit duel core cpu's and about 6gigs of ram.

My rig is a 3ghz quad core, running 4gb ram, on windows 64bit.

Graphics drivers are upto date running the latest nvidia driver, i will test the compatability thing and see if that helps at all, thanks.

update your c++ and active X drivers.

also check to make sure your directorys are not set to read only, specificaly your profile for the the crash sounds like its not able to write to a file and is crashing instead.

in fact i suggest to the person with issues and everyone....check your steam folder to make sure its all not read-only. Its not supposed to be....but every so many steam patches...steam converts all its files to this....whihc messes up alot of things.

Its real easy to fix this.....right click onthe steam properties....see if the read-only thing is clicked...if it is unclick it and hit will pop up a box and say do you want to do this for all sub folders as yes....sit back and wait for a will finish.

ANd you will find no more crahses and error from steam for a while.

At least not until they do another steam update.

I figured out a fix that works for me. To be clear - I was encountering a CTD after each mission, AFTER the debrief screen. Each time I clicked the "Continue" button, it would crash.

The fix I discovered is to press ESC instead of clicking "Continue". Odd, I know, but it worked for me just a moment ago.
