Where Can I download Core Maximizer?
All I pull up when I search are old links that no longer have it.

Additionally, I have windows 7 but I hear that it does and doesn't work with it but I would just like to try for myself.

Sorry bro but I've found that it helps a whole lot. I observed some AI matches on the Shards map (40km) and the game fps doesn't dip but the game still studders but not until much later in the match. All I can say is that glad you were wrong. It may not work for you but you shouldn't go around telling people it doesn't work.

I'm a scientist. I understand what confirmation bias and especially placebos are. I wouldn't say it worked unless I noticed a recognizable difference, which I do. I didn't do the benchmark testing but I don't feel I need to. For instance, I always heard the audio popping during games but not now.

countless tests in the Gas Powered Games forums hace proven that the core maximazer does absolutely nothing under windows 7

there are also people that get salt-pills and feel better btw

wait are you saying it improves audio and fps?

Just change your CPU affinity while in game so you spread load between multiple CPU cores. No need to run Core Maximizer

While it does nothing under any Windows 7 version under Professional (because the lack of Remote Desktop Service), I can certifiy it works.
My setup is running Windows 7 Ultimate on a quad core AMD Phenom, I have a logitech G15 with a per-CPU monitor on the display so I can see the difference and CPU load in real-time. I also had the task manager with the CPU graph on the secondary monitor.
Without coremaximizer, the first core is always at 100%, while the 3 other cores never go over 15%, even on very large battles against 7 CPU with 1000 unit cap.
With coremaximizer configured with "SupremeCommander.exe" (the steam version is not ForgedAlliance.exe); on the very same context (I have a dozen of saved game to test), the load is distributed evenly among the 4 cores (using 50-100% on them), the game is much smoother especially when selecting large amount of units.
The sim speed however is not much affected as it depends on other parameters.

no programm will ever be able to split of the simulation part of supcom on multiple cores
there is a 100pages disscussion thread on GPGforum

read it and you will understand what this program does, and what it NOT does and NOT can do
you will also find tons of tests there

the core maximazer might have had an effect on xp (might or might not) but it wont have any effect on windows 7 no matter how much you belive in it

Actually it does but in the steam version when running core maximazer you need to select supremecommander.exe and not FA. This is when you are playing Forged Alliance on steam..complicated i know but i remember reading it somewhere on GPGforum and it works, But if you open taskmanager and change the affinity of the program it will achieve the same result

actually you dont seem to have any clue what you are talking about
this is not about opinion or feeling, this is about what is possible and not possible
or for people like you what actually happens, and what you imagine happens

but i know arguing with coremaximazer belivers is like arguing with a wall

Well I have facts, it's not a magic trick. My CPU usage while core maximizer is running and activated is nothing like the default usage. For each test, I launch the game, open a savegame on seton clutch with 7 AI, ~5000 units on the map and play a bit. No alt-tabbing or other things that might affect the results.

It's useless to argue with Sheppard. He is in a bubble and your just wasting time. I know it works because of the stark difference when it is on. That's all I care about. The game is the most fun for me on a massive scale and I can't play it that way without the core maximizer. I haven't tried changing the CPU affinity. I'm not too tech savvy. Thanks for the replies
