Core Maximizer + Windows 7?
Just wondering if anyone has CM working with windows 7? I read on the official forums that it should work as long as remote terminal service is enabled. However, as the mod describes I would hear a single beep sound to indicate just that, but nothing happens after launching the game.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Mine works just fine with no tweaking to my Win 7 x64 install. Difficult to say how much it's benefitting me as I don't see any change in FPS after I hear the ding sound (meaning CM activated itself), but I run it just in case.

Verify that it's looking for the correct .exe file, as I used to have a non-steam digital download copy in which ForgedAlliance.exe was the game executable, and in the steam version both vanilla and FA have supremecommander.exe instead. Make sure CM isn't looking for ForgedAlliance.exe. Also check the enable time delay setting, I think it defaults to 20 or 30sec.

My core maximizer wasnt working at all. But I fixed it by right clicking the .exe and going to properties then the compatability tab. From there choose run in windows xp service pack 3 and choose run as admin. works like a charm!

Listen carefully now:
The coremaximazer does NOTHING under win7. Everything that it does, is done by win7 anyway. You wont have any impact on performance. Dont tell me now that it go better for you. It was proven in countless test.

What the core maximizer does is spreads the load of the game to all the cores of your cpu. See Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance wasn't designed for multiple cores. I am running it on vista 64 and I use a program called Everest which will show you realtime & saved load valves after a game of supreme commander FA so you can view it later for yourself and it works for me if I dont use it 1 core will hit a 100% load before any other core Note: as a rule of thumb more MHz your CPU puts out the better the game will run ..see SC is a CPU intensive game. Also when starting core maximizer make sure its pointing to the right .exe there are 2 choices in the drop down. Also if it is setup right you will hear a bell ring once after the game has started. Also there is a Supreme Commander Performance tester built into the game it self, which can help you tweak the game a little. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Copy and paste your supreme commander icon on your desktop. right click and select properties then add to the end of the pathname for the icon. /perf

For you noobies out there you will see this:

Where it says Target :"C:\Program Files\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander\bin\SupremeCommander.exe"

Add this at the end so it looks like this: "C:\Program Files\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander\bin\SupremeCommander.exe" /perf

Click the new Icon and you will go into the games performance testing utility. Exactly the same process works for Forged Alliance too!

Different test and just some fun for you guys. Anyone playing supcom and expecting to enjoy large multiplayer games without lag issues should be looking for a score of at least 15300 sup com marks. Anything below that = [thumbdown]

Agree, i haven't seen an improvement on the game performance.

Oh okay, yeah your right I lied. I think my system is busted bro, it shouldnt be working i guess. I'll dive deep into this and see if i have truly messed up my system and try and fix it so i can get core maximizer not to work. Thanks for your help Sheppard.

Dont know if you have tried this or not but to set the Sup Com .exe to a high priority in task manager for me it stopped the game from stuttering and made it run much smoother.
Speculator 2013年6月12日 0時51分
You need to select supremecommander.exe as stated above for it to work. not Forged Alliance.exe when using the steam version
