Finally fixed that pesky network bug with Sandbox mode
Quite perplexing it was, too... but now it works again, after 1,000 years of not working. Sorry about that.

Aye, good idea. It was a very small change (originally) - it seems that at some point that I missed, normal Java distributions lost some part of the SSL certification chain that would allow them to trust the proper SSL certificate from our www.revengeofthetitans.com domain.

This cert. is perfectly kosher, and you can have a look at it by just surfing over to https://www.revengeofthetitans.com/ep/_connect.php and clicking on the little padlock widget in the URL in most browsers. Somehow inbetween Java updates the ability to recognise it vanished.

So, I've simply included our certificate now in the trusted certificates list of the embedded Java VM we use in our games.

The second update was me updating all the VMs to Java 8 level, which I'd been putting off for a very long time because I was worried about upsetting Mac OS X 10.6 users, for whom it would instantly break everything. But I reckon that 10.6 is now so ancient it's going to be very unlikely to occur, and I can always point any such users back to a test branch of the game which still uses the older VM.
