This one's a mixed bag for me.
For one, the story is pretty good, considering the usual stuff we get in FPS at least. It's interesting, well written and it's got good dialouge. Just don't expect Metal Gear levels of depth and you'll be fine.
Gameplay-wise it's also on the good side, with varying locations and enemy types as well as good boss battles. Don't go in expecting this to be fallout though, as much as it is "open world", the world is fairly small with not a lot to do in it, compared to other open world games.
The AI is servicable if predictable, they will however react to getting shot in different ways depending on where you shoot them (yes, that includes groin-shots). Overall, pretty good again. This game also has a fairly big focus on verhicles and racing aswell as vehicular combat.
What kills it for me is the port. The mouse acceleration and -smoothing is oh so very strong with this one, and you need to dig in the config files to get rid of it. And trust me, just setting mouse sensetivity to zero doesn't help. The performance is equally bad. Even on my GTX 760 I can't play this game on any higher than medium setting without having the framerate go lower than 30. And the texture pop-in is massive, it can take take multiple seconds to load texture if you turn.
Conclusion: I'd recommend this game for anyone who was gonna use a controller anyways or is willing to fix stuff themselves. I've had my fun with it (~20 to get through with the campaign and some of the sidestuff) and don't regret the purchase.
