E.Y.E. SDK?
are we ever going to have an SDK for E.Y.E or are we going to have to make our own?

Their website says they have no intention of making an SDK.

SDK for mapping is already there. Source engine tools could be used to make your own models. But we do not plan to release a code source SDK.

You cannot modify the damages done by the weapon, what it is shooting… But you can visually replace them by replacing the texture and/or the model by any texture/model you did.

To Make things work fine you might be sure to get in the final model all the animations and attachments present in the model you replaced.

but heres the thing stu, i want to add weapons to the game. not alter currently existing ones.

So it is currently not possible and I assume it will remain not possible as we will not provide a full c++ SDK support.

I actually came here just to find this out... I remember playing this before and thinking "wow, this could really use a good English to English translation..." looks like this might be more difficult than I thought :(

Only way to get the SDK is to buy out the studio and hopefully get them to stay and make it for you
