EYE.exe has stopped working
So, I got this game as a gift from a friend a few days ago, and I started playing it. It rocks! I've been able to host servers, we've thrown down Co-op, killed tons of dudes, and generally had a good time. I never ever had any crashes or runtime errors or debug screens, and last night, I was hosting a server (playing by myself, though) and everything, but had a power surge, which caused me to lose power to half of my house.
After fiddling with the breaker for a while, I got the electricity rolling again and my computer back up to speed. However, now, after the intro vid, with the running dino (or w/e it is) and it goes to the loading screen that says "Drone Connection" it sits there for about 30 seconds, then minimizes the game, saying "EYE.exe has stopped working windows will search for a solution," etc...
I am running Windows 7 64-bit, with 7 gigs of RAM a Quadcore 2.8 Ghz processor, and some sort of suuped up graphics card (I can run BF3, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, and others at full graphics).
I have reinstalled the game three times, restarted and shut down my computer several times, deleted the game files via steam and via windows explorer, and I am just at a loss for what to do.
At this point, the game is worthless, despite how much I love to play it I can't enjoy it at all.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Damn power surge!

Go to my documents\streumon\eye\Save folder. Find YourAvatarName.txt (where YourAvatarNAme is your actual avatar name).
Edit it with notepad. I think the file is empty but if it isn’t delete everything.
Then past the following line (once again be sure to replace YourAvatarName by your actual avatar name)

Save the file and run the game, I assume it should work.

If your avatar was named Draer, you are correct.

I did this but the name of the text file was gubzy lowercase but the HL1 and HL2 were Gubzy with the uppercase G so I put Gubzy in where my avatar name is supposed to be in the text file. It worked. That is ok right?
