E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy

E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy

Is this game any good?
Just what the title says.

This game is the definition of a rough diamond.

The game features very complex dynamic RPG elements, diverse skills, long-term skill/money allocation, satisfying combat and the like. However, is it made by a small team, and many bugs have only recently, or are yet to be fixed. The devs are also not native-english speakers, which will be obvious with the horrible dialogue. Luckily, there's a mod to replace all the text with something well-written.

In short, the game is unforgivingly brutal, but deeply rewarding. This is a new title for old-school gamers. Those with little patience or concentration will be frustrated.

It's a love hate relationship. Really depends what you're looking for in a game. It's complex, confusing, difficult at times, frustrating to some, a little buggy but can be very rewarding. I'm a huge cyber-punk fan and the concept of this game is great in my opinion but at times poorly executed. The story is confusing and tries to pretend to be more in depth than it really is. In fact, the story is pretty bad but the gem is the character development and that's what keeps me playing.

Each time you complete a story mission you unlock a new map to do side missions on to gain experiance and money. You select these side missions in the main Temple where you can also purchase new weapons and other upgrades as well as read some history of the world and the wars in the past. These side missions are very variable and you will rarely repeat the same set of missions twice in a sitting.

The character development is really complex but once you get used to it very rewarding to level up, upgrade your cybernetics and purchase research to give other bonuses.

However, the game is made by a very small team of people and sometimes it feels like they took on more than they can chew. If you are ableto look past some flaws and get drawn into the world and creating your character then you might just have a little fun. I for one love the game.

It's very rough around the edges. I've heard it described as "unpolished", aptly so. As stated previously, the character developement is very complex, the dialogue and story is horrendous, and it's a very unforgiving game. That said, I absolutely love it. Sure, it has a staggering amount of flaws, but it has a number of good points as well, such as the combat, hacking, and psionic systems. It's very rough-hewn, but I think that's what gives it some charm. Really, it's one of those games where you either love it, or you hate it. That's my two cents. :)
It's unlike anything you've ever played. Buy it to support the incredible endeavor and find a few days to become completely lost in it. It's an extraordinary game but it's by no means perfect. If it were "perfect", it wouldn't be so extraordinary.
Hmm.. i'm definitely going to consider buying this soon, probably when it goes on sale.

a game from unknown or humble origins that significantly disrupted the attention Deus Ex: HR was getting at that time (from no small part of heavy marketing, mind you) is a good indication of what the spirit of EYE feels like gamewise in both play and idea. EYE was good enough to appear out of thin air and hit gamers with lightning.

In line with what the others have told you, it has some exposed underpinnings and a few unfortunate hiccups,, luckily, those aren't all dealbreakers as you can complete the game without much risk of a fatal bug and also take the "wide of target" english in good stride if you are capable of being amused by such things. very little disconnect from the game even wtih the bad english. It's problems feel more like stray kittens at your door in a rain storm that when your eyes reach them looking up at you to come in, you forget their wet baby coat and propensity to know fragile things from fxitures. The bad is endearing and the good is beyond amazing.

hope you can at least see it that way because most of the people who played and loved eye were all in this boat of calling the flaws while still being led forward into an awesome game. in fact, im confident you will be in our boat soon enough (i had eye on a different account if you're wondering why you dont see it in my library.)(
That was pretty awesome.

For the record, the game was born on the forum CanardPC. This is a group of guys who one day said they were "And if we create a game?" E.Y.E and was born after 6 years or 5 years of dev. This game is a little French gem :D
Yes, it is a must buy.
Especially if you like cyberpunk and sci-fi with a touch of supernatural elements.

Yes, it is fun to play this game in Co-Op.

This game is super interesting and generally a great open-ended challenge. The maps feel really sandboxy that you have a lot of options on how to go about completing your goals.

So.. Buy it!!
Can someone explain how the co-op works? Do you play missions together?
I might buy a 4 pack if it sounds good.
