Question about editing models.
Anyone have any idea how I can edit models for this game? I have tried using mdldecompiler to decompile mdl files, but it isnt working and there is only one model easily accessible in blender.

Decompilation isn’t perfect but is should partially work with some tweaks.

Which model do you try to decompile? What kind of error did you encounter?
I could tell you more when I got this information. But in a first time you have to know that DX8 files are not present in E.Y.E because the game doesn’t support Direct X version before DX9. But as far as I remember mdldecompiler would need these.

So to decompile it you would need to copy the file ModelToDecompile.dx90.vtx and rename it to ModelToDecompile.dx80.vtx

There also some other tweaks that could be needed depending on which mdldecompiler you are using.

Thanks, changing 90 to 80 solved the issue. I was getting "no reference decompile" error, after that program kept shutting down.
