E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy

E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy

Under Rated Gem
I have had this game for a few years, played it for a few hours, didnt get it and then uninstalled it and left it for the backlog. Due to my wife having lost her job and unable to find employment in the area for a few months now, i have had to cut back on game purchases and have been booting up the backlogs. Now that i have sunk in some hours, this game is pretty awesome. The story is a bit wonky but the side missions are all really interesting and i for one love games that allow me this kind of freedom in choosing a playstyle. The whole necromagicalcyberpunk setting is really neat as well and very well done even for its age. If you are on the fence about it, it may not be for everyone, but it sure is fun once you get a grasp at how it all works. I just wish more people played.

I just started playing this game too, I've only done the first mission and I am currently in the city (?) talking to those dudes and stuff.

So far I am absolutely in love with it, this game really reminds of the atmosphere of Warhammer 40k, although E.Y.E. takes itself a bit less serious than Warhammer 40k, which I don't mind that much but I'm yet to get used to seeing the main character talk to the NPC's and say like "You ♥♥♥♥ing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I'll kill you when we're outside you ♥♥♥♥♥!" or something like that. And that NPC talking about how Psi-force can get all the babes. That breaks the immersion a bit for me because I really get the feeling it's trying to convey a serious atmosphere.

And the soundtrack is amazing, truly amazing.
I played this game three years ago.
It was good then and it always will be good.

I whole-heartedly agree. I am slightly addicted to leveling and the story has left me depressed and introspective... :synicle:

As good as EYE is, even the Original Version (French) has some quite "strange" text... Writting CRPG's dialogues when you're drunk isn't a good idea !

Edit : EpicMcDude, you will realise that the scenario of this game is far more complex that it seems... that explains the not-serious-at-all tone of some dialogues !

Just finished the game last night. Very interesting story at the end of the day, even if there are unanswered questions. Still a little puzzled on a few details, but damn what a fun ride it was. Ended up @ level 30 and feeling like a boss.

Been eyeing (pardon the pun) the game for a while. I've so missed old school cyberpunk games with their dark, gritty environments, rampant violence, human augmentations, random psionics and secret organizations.

So glad I got it. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing and I'm liking the map design a lot so far. And it has this very bizarre mix of design decisions that at first seemed poor but I'm starting to like them more and more (save for hacking which is just horribly slow).

Indeed a underrated gem, played this game 3 times when it came out, I just started it again, because its been a while. This game remains brilliant, this needs another game in the EYE world, same stuff but other story.

yah i hated it 3 years ago but now i love it, i did not understand it at first, its like tasting a fine wine you don't like it initially but further on it is amazing. the soundtrack is totally mesmerizing and the environments are very large and minimalist like the sci fi painting of john harris at times. i really think the art style of the colors and silhouettes of the shapes and how they contrast is intentional in how it relates to the story.

I agree but sadly I cant play anymore because im having micro-stuttering and head bobbing makes me feel nauseous too bad because I love the atmosphere and the story is interesting.
