Achievements grind

[Thief211 [SVK]]

What is the best/fastest way or spot to grind kills for achievements like:
Corporal Hicks
Eliminate 5,000 Meta Streums.

Anti-Riot
Kill 3,333 bandits.


Forgotten Center and other campaign maps will take forever :/
Isnt there any good spawn spot or something?

I'm not sure if there are still servers for it but sermons are always good for grinding.

Its a custom map where you fight through waves of enemys of increasing difficulty.
There were a few servers running it. I'm not sure where you can download the map though.

I actually got both of these Achievements recently. Here's what I did:

Anti-Riot: Start a new campaign and get to Wurster Corp (it's the mission after you first arrive at the temple) Equip yourself with a BOSCO, light armor, medkit, and as many BOSCO mags as you can. Also be sure to have your reinforcements set to Invasion and the limiters turned off. Run down the dock and make a right at the crater in the ground, then a left toward the truck and the alcove where the Federation Defector is (but don't go in there). Stop and turn to where you can see down the long alley where the ladder to the elevator is. Snipe the bandits and look toward where you came from for a quick second. When you turn back to the alley, you will see that they respawned. Rinse and repeat until you get the Achievement. If you run out of ammo, you can run down the alley and grab more BOSCO mags and any research that dropped, and then double back.

Corporal Hicks: Start a Temple HQ game and talk to the guy about custom maps. Choose cm_cu_minos. If you run down the bridge and make a right and then another right, you will see where the Meta Streums spawn. Kill them (preferably with the grenade luancher) and then double back to the armory where you started the level. They should start spawning and running down the bridge toward you. Just shoot and kill. Heal and re-stock near the armory to your left. If you need a breather (to start research or allocate points), you can hide behind the armory and they won't attack you.

On a related note, is there some way to determine how far along your character is towards getting this? This seems to be an achievement that counts total kills per-character, rather than across all characters. I did most of my level-farming against Feds, I'm not sure which of my characters would be closest to getting these achievements.

Corporal Hicks took me about 2-3 hours. Anti-Riot was a little bit less. Have some music ready to make the grind more tolerable.

The Stats tab will show you how many of a faction you have killed. It's on the top-left.

The Achievements are character-based (I got both on my only character though).

The Detective achievement is just like the other "kill an X" achievements except it is with manducos instead of humanoids. It is completely random and does not give a notification like "You killed an X.". You may get it while going for the Corporal Hicks achievement, but I believe manducos are guaranteed spawns in New Eden in both Campaign and Temple HQ mode (I would need to verify the latter).

I am quite certian the detective achievement is on noctis with the dead jian in the tomb.

I believe you need to find him first, and then it becomes a hunt for that random Manduco. I got the Achievement on New Eden in Temple HQ mode, but random is random.
