Any fun as single player?
Is this game purely coop focused or can one have fun single player too?

It's very fun single player game, I didn't even know it was coop too. It's a totally unique gameplay mixing fps (first person shooter) for the action and tower defense for strategy level.

It's just not an easy game. For the strategy element you could search for help through the Internet (even if the best fun is find most by yourself) it can help open your approach of the game and give you base material to find by yourself more stuff.

hi there

yep i can say that i enjoy this game as a single player game but i cant say i have played co-op as i cant find a local server. on the single player front though it is realy good and uniqe however i cant say that you will find it fun as everyone is uniqe. (though i have a feeling you will :P) if your not sure try the demo then if you like it then you can buy it.

very fun indeed on single player. There's a campaign where you try to outlast a certain amount of set waves, or single player survival with 4 different modes with 2 modes in each of them (normal and turbo) hours upon hours of enjoyment.

This game is funny in single player mode. But if you want to learn other players' strategies, you can join online games to improve your skills.

yeah, let other people teach you, then play however you are most comfortable.

Thanks.
I always thought it was a coop game with a tacked on single player, but seems like I was wrong all along. ^^

both singleplayer and multiplayer complement each other. I'd say good luck with the multiplayer teachers though. Not trying to offend anyone, but most of the better players do more organized games (they have a headcount beforehand, and lock the game) and random games, most are not the most experienced players. A good way to tell if a game is serious is the difficulty. Easy is prolly beginners or people messing around, and normal is prolly where you'll find more skilled player. An open Hard online game is almost impossible to come by, so best of luck there.

IMO solo game is... decent, co-op is great (after installing Hamachi, 'cos the authors did not much care for online game...).

can play fine without using himachi
just start an multiplayer tag the friends only and invite friends when your at the equipment screen through your friend list (if you prefer playing with friends)

It can be fun on Singleplayer, but it tends to be difficult and frustrating, mostly after wave 8 or so. Co-op is overall better, however, it will do you good to beat at least Mines on Singleplayer because it unlocks stuff.

I agree. "Coop" feels much like a free-for-all when you don't know the people you're playing with cos each person just plops down his own towers with no unified strategy. This game was originally SP only, and it's essentially a thinking game with heart-pounding moments - not a serious shooter hoping to rival CoD.
TigerHawkins Feb 24, 2013 @ 8:42pm
I think it surpasses CoD, mainly because there's a lot more to it than just weapons on weapons. it's weapon and tower weapons and legit strategy vs the game. I mainly play single player because it truly becomes me vs the game and myself, and in some regard, there's almost always room for improvement.

also, not worrying about randoms building towers and fields that inhibit my own playstyle.
