Game Crashes at startup

For some reason, the game keeps crashing at startup. Another person had their game crash and it was suggested to hit alt+enter, but mine crashes before I can even do that. All of the other oldschool doom games are working fine except this one, and this one used to work. Already tried reinstalling it and verifying game cache, but to no avail.

Actually, I just found a fix. I copied the dosbox.exe from the Commander Keen pack over the one in the MLFD2 folder and it works fine now. Something must be wrong with the .exe packaged with this game.

See if you have the latest DosBox. If not, grab the latest one from dosbox.com

If you have another game that uses Dosbox, you can copy that game's copy of dosbox.exe into the Master levels of Doom folder and it will use that.

Here's the steps I took:
Go into Steam/Steamapps/Common/Commander Keen/base1
Copy dosbox.exe to clipboard
Go into Steam/Steamapps/Common/Master Levels of Doom
Right click somewhere inside the folder and hit Paste

If you don't have Commander Keen, I'm assuming you have Doom II, since you've got the master levels, so here's another way to go about it:
Go into Steam/Steamapps/Common/Doom 2/base
Copy dosbox.exe to clipboard
Go into Steam/Steamapps/Common/Master Levels of Doom
Right click somewhere inside the folder and hit Paste

I only copied the .exe file and left the conf file alone. If that doesn't work, I don't think I'll be able to help you.

Yes, that's normal. The menu is where you choose what level you want to play. If you're seeing it, it means your game is working fine now.
