I can also confirm.

Anomaly is not the only game affected by missing executables. In my (Linux) library are games that are not yet official in the store itself and multiple of them show the same problem. If there are missing excecutables you can tell by the missing information about MB usage.

But when they sell actually sell it Linux compatible in the store then this is bad indeed and should be fixed a.s.a.p.

I've got this problem too, paid for it but nothing downloads and missing executable, I have the same problem with other games that show in my library that are getting linux soon but haven't come out yet... Not sure why its marked linux compatible already...

It's not good that you can buy this through steam and not play it.

Closure and Psychonauts have just come online along with Counter Strike : Source. These are all now purchasable through Steam. Anomaly Warzone Earth is the only one I have that is purchasable through Steam as a linux version that acts like a game that hasn't been set up properly on steam yet for linux. I imagine it will be fixed soonish.

It may just be that Valve have made Linux official and this has accidently gotten caught out as it already had purchase information set up, but not the configuration to actually install the game files.

I have a lot of humble bundle games (bundles 1-7 and a few android bundles) and over half of the games that list as available on Linux are functional. The ones that aren't working are not functional mostly because the developers have not completed the steam configuration files to tell steam what to download and how to install it. More of these may come online in time.

Yeah, I get if they need more time to set it up to work with Steam, but it's probably not a good idea to start selling it for money, if it doesn't actually work yet.

Yeah, what's the deal with this? This is a bug and needs to be fixed.

It does install now! But there seems to be a problem with a missing library: steamlib_api.so

No problem here, game starts. Have you launched it through steam?
manolo.texaco Feb 8, 2013 @ 9:07am
