Video settings won't change no matter what I do.
I tried manually editing DoomConfig.cfg and autoexec.cfg, putting in them the recommended config settings from other threads. I even tried making both of them Read-only, and I also tried UQE-Doom 3. Nothing. It always reverts back to the smallest resolution possible, and pretty much everything else in Video settings is reset. Google wasn't much help either. I would seriously appreciate it if someone would help me fix this issue.

Some of my specs:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
ATI/AMD Radeon HD 7770 (Gigabyte)
AMD FX-4170, Factory-clocked at 4.2GHz

After Uninstalling Doom 3 & RoE, deleting all the leftover files from the directory after uninstalling, then finally re-installing, I can safely say that making an autoexec.cfg file with exactly what the website suggested worked perfectly. The menu still renders at a low resolution, but the game itself renders at the resolution I wrote down in autoexec.cfg. Making a copy of the same cfg in the directory of RoE and any installed mods also works.

Countless thanks!

UQE Doom 3 supports wide screen resolutions.

Download UQE for Doom 3:
