Doom 3 Resolution Problem, even after following every single step known to mankind.
Right, so just like everyone else, I'm suffering from the terrible and disgraceful Doom 3 Resolution glitch, where it remains at the lowest resolution despite multiple restarts.

So, like a normal person, I searched the web near and far for answers to this problem. I've followed every popular step, from changing the .cfg, to creating an exec.cfg, and going in game and using console commands which amazingly do nothing.

Please, how do you solve this problem? I have a top of the line Windows 8 laptop that can run the game, and has the specs to support it. What am I missing here? Will I need to resort to installing mods or is there someone out there with the answer to this age old question?

By the way, please don't add by saying that you have the same problem, it doesn't help, no one wants to hear it, and it gets in the way, Thanks.

The second post is pretty much how I did it. I use 1920x1080, so of course adjust accordingly. Also, I did this when it was still just DOOM 3, not BFG. I know the engine was updated a little for the BFG release so I don't know if that makes this fix invalid or what.

I know you said you've followed every step known to man, and when you search Google for "Doom 3 resolution fix" this is the first result. So you may have already done this and if so, I apologize, but this fixed the resolution for me and it's worked for others I've recommended it to.

Good luck and let me know how you fare.

Thank you very much 2point4. I've read your other posts to people, among others, and they didn't work. Yet, surprisinly, this managed to do it. Thanks again, I really appreciate it. :csgostar:
