- Muzzle flashes (the light guns make when being fired) are gone in the BFG;
- 16:9 is natively supported in BFG. In the original you have to mess around in the console;
- Some effects are removed from the BFG edition (lights are brighter, less shadows, etc);
- Doomguy walks faster;
- Weapon pickups are way higher (too much in my opinion);
- The shotgun sound is more beefier in the BFG;
- The game is overall more easy;
- Xbox 360 controller support in BFG;
- No dedicated servers;
- Flashlight is no longer a weapon and is integrated in the armor (ruins some areas designed around the flashlight out vs weapon out decision).
That's everything I can remember.
I honestly recomend the original version over the BFG.
