Quake Mission Pack 2: Dissolution of Eternity

Quake Mission Pack 2: Dissolution of Eternity

Lift in Tomb of the Overlord doesn't work for me.
It's near the beginning, after you kill nearly twenty enemies, there's an obvious lift with a glaring red arrow pointing upwards, with other arrows along that same shaft. But the lift doesn't work. Anyone know how to get around this problem? I don't want to have to rocket jump this one too.

Edit: *sigh* So yes, it is, in fact, possible to rocket jump around this problem. You can do so either in the elevator shaft, but I'd recommend doing it in the same hall where you found the rocket launcher and the blocked off shaft that says, "This will open when the dead have risen," or something along those lines. More worrisome, however, is the fact that you'll still need to get to the third floor -- an obstacle I also got around by rocket jumping. (I shouldn't have to say this, but make you have have decent armor and full health before attempting THIS trick jump.) Really, get to the elevator shaft, get your running start into the shaft, shoot your first rocket on the ground as you leap into the shaft, THEN face immediately forward and fire another rocket into the wall. If done correctly, the second rocket will have rebounded you onto the third floor landing with almost no health left.

Since I have no video recording software, trust me when I say this method does work, it's just tricky as all hell.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm still playing the first mission pack, so I haven't gotten here yet. But I'm sure when I do, I'll have to try this about 20 times before I get it right! Haha...
Anyhow, thanks.

Incase anyone else has trouble with it, the best way to get around the broken elevator is to use the Quad Rockets inside the elevator shaft and go to the third level first, you can then drop down to the second level. The quad rockets can propel you all the way to the top in one shot, this minimizes the amount of rocket jumps you need to do.

pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff What crap BUGS !!!!!!! Why doesn't anybody fix this ????!!!!!!!!!

Just use the cheat for flying and problem solved :) Type fly in the command line thing and go up the shaft to the first level turn it off and it's fixed :)

I normally don't use cheats at all but these bugs will never be repaired.
