Spear of destiny controls
Hello everyone i just bought this awesome game but I can't find a way to activate free mouselook and disable mouse movement. If anyone knows a way to do these things, please let me know.
Thanks in advance :)

Just use keyboard only - this is how Wolfenstein 3d played on Intel 80286 in mid 90s!

If my memory serves me well, there is no free mouselook in this game. This game now runs through DosBox, and you may try to tweak DosBox config and maybe mouse software to achieve freelook effect. But there is no easy way, I think.

Ok thank you I will try to get used to it.
Do you know how to disable the mouse movement instead ?

No, I don't know how to do that in game or DosBox config. Sorry.
But if you have joypad, you can use it in this game. Joypads with xinput works surprisingly well.

Try GlovePIE (http://glovepie.org/glovepie.php), I use it to play Dark Forces.

My source port (http://maniacsvault.net/ecwolf/) includes the ability to disable the mouse Y-axis and WASD. It even has experimental mouse look if you use the tab+m code in debug mode (shift+alt+backspace).

With the Steam version installed and set to play the original mission (start the game on Steam and select to play the original mission) all you need to do is download and run the exe.

Thank you, I will try it for sure ;D

Being all honest I am in my thirties and have been around a lot longer than the typical average. Mouselook started with the game Quake and it had to be a console command and used as an afterthough, not part of the game at all. If wasn't until later on that someone used a console command "+mlook" to unlock the mouse for mouselook and then controlled the game that way from there.

Sadly, the internet wasn't really created yet so this information could be found on Bullitin Board and not via a website as the Internet ITSELF wasn't really created or at least used by the mainstream until later.

But yeah, to even be able to move your vision using the mouse; you would have to start by pressing ` at the start to open up the console, then type +mlook in the DOS type screen.

Yep, that was the start of using the mouse to look around...try playing Quake again without using this feature...thats honestly how it was SUPPOSED to be lonnnggggg ago.

Oh boy do they. Take a few minutes and look at the Global rates for achievements on your favorite games and have it show that only 15% actually beat the game. I remember being a kid with only five games for a full year and for NES, they weren't good ones and I do remember how they were a lot less fair than the ones from the current days.
