Runtime Error!

- pure virtual function call

What the hell is going on?

I'm having the exact same problem. Can't play this game now, used to work fine. I am running an AMD Radeon HD 5700 video card.

I got this fixed by going to control panel\system\advanced system settings\environmental variables and then in the system variables list scroll down to Path and click Edit and change the Variable value to C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common

I tried doing your fix and that didn't do it for me. Do you have another fix?

I actually have a fix... If you have an AMD card then you may have the program AMD Gaming Evolved program installed. (If not, it's free.) I was able to launch Borderlands from there (it still runs it through Steam) and play the game with no errors. After that, I was then able to play Borderlands just through Steam itself w/o the AMD program up and running.

It seems that the AMD program fixed whatever what going haywire. It's annoying since, like you said, I was able to play Borderlands a while back and then recently I just couldn't.
