ONLINE STOPPED WORKING?? WTF?

I haven't been able to play online for the past 2 days. Whenever the game starts up it says that my connection to Gamespy has been lost. Seriously I didn't pay money for this game only to not be able to play it online. What a ripoff.

Gamespy shutdown, the game wqill be patched to use Steamworks, but we are still waiting for this update.

A friend of mine and I spent about 30 minutes trying to get the game to run through Hamachi so we could run it as a LAN game. We gave up and just played Borderlands 2. Hope that patch comes soon so I can get back to playing my hunter.

It's pretty annoying that the patch wasn't already set to go when Gamespy shut down. They knew it was going down, so what's the deal?

It stopped working pretty recently, too. I played online this Monday and it was functional. Would be fun to have an ETA on the patch though, I can't find anything more reliable than "Gearbox said this summer"

same here. a buddy of mine keeps asking me to help him kill Mad Mel in the Dahl Headlands, but while trying to setup a Co-Op game to do this, that's when I kept getting an error saying that GameSpy is no longer working.

Just use Hamachi to fake a LAN connection, it will work for the time being while the game is updated...
