Major FPS Issues
So for whatever reason this game doesn't want to play in any FPS higher than 25-26 for me (unplayable). I get around 350 in the menu with everything maxed out, but as soon as the loading screen hits everything goes to ♥♥♥♥.

I can play literally anything else maxed out (for the most part), but regardless of in-game settings, resolution, whatever, it won't even hit 30. It should be hitting at least 144.

Specs: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/m4pdqk

I've went into the in-game files and did the unlocking FPS thing, I've tried turning off AA in the Nvidia control panel, none of it works. I've even tried Windows 7 Compatibility mode.

Please help a brotha out.

Have you added -dx9 to the game parameters? -dx9 forces it to use DirectX 9 over DirectX 10 which BL1 has a problem with DirectX 10

Dust your rig and check your temps! It might be thermal throttling.

Try those and if they don't work I might have a few more ideas but those are possibly your problem.

How would I go about doing that? Also temps usually hover around 60c.

I have literally this exact same issue on a GTX 970 and have run the pool of fixes dry, including the -dx9 switch.

It is not caused by temperatures, because the menu runs normally under 100% load (and higher temps) but in gameplay my load hovers around 10-15% with much lower temps.

try turning Dynamic Shadows off...that's a big fps hit.
