Need help with Destroyer Playthrough 2. I'm Level 53

If anybody could join me and help defeat the destroyer, it would be well appreciated.

Stand where the entrance is and hit the crit spots. Do all the side missions.

Thanks for the advice, I have played borderlands entirely on playstation 3 a long time ago. And I did all the side missions, The only problem I had was running out of ammo. I had his health dwindled to about half and then somebody jumped in and helped me finish him off :]

I forgot to ask what Vault Hunter you're playing as? I main Lilith, and when it came to The Destroyer, I used a Mercenary COM with SMG Ammo Regeneration. It helped a lot.

I play Borderlands on PS3 aswell.
