How do I install the mods?
I subscribed to a bunch of mods, but although they are in the game files, and I clicked enabled, they don't activate> Can anyone please send me, or point me to detailed instructions? Thanks.

Hi guys. Unfortunately, it didn't work. The mods actually downloaded, but they are only available to play in the Viking invasion of Britain scenario. I de-installed them. I really want the mods to be generally available, not just for one game. Also, when I installed the Charlemagne/Frank Civilization, it is also only included in the Viking game. I would appreciate it if you can give me further advice. Thanks.

Are you hitting the 'single player' button from the mods section (as shown at the four minute mark of the video)?

yes. all the time.

THE BELOW IS ADVICE FROM ANOTHER GENTLEMAN AT THE CIV V FORUM CALLED ISTRY 555.
Those weren't the modded civs in the scenario; the franks are naturally part of that scenario without any mod. However, the fact that you got to the scenario screen shows you were going to the wrong place. From the main menu you don't choose single player (and then scenario), you choose mods, then check the mods, then next, (which gives a new option for single player)

Still doesn't work. Did what you said and I ended up in single player. Most of the civilizations were missing except for Carthage, Sweden, Ethiopia and Boudica of the Celts. Furthermore, when I selected one, I got the voiceover for the England 1066 Viking vs English vs Norman scenario. How should I proceed? Could it be that my computer should be on direct x 9 and not 10/11? Or could it be that the Steam download doesn't work well with mods and I should try it with the discs?

It worked guys. Somehow I managed to separate the scenario with the mods. Am now playing one. I may ask for your help again as I have several ideas on new additions that could be modded-new wonders like Stanford University, MIT, Berkeley, Time Magazine, Googleplex, Durham Cathedral and Castle, British Museum, etc. Have a nice weekend.

I dont seem to have a Mods button where it is shown on the video. I have G&K's, but don't see it. any help? because i am Mac?

The video only applies to Windows. Mac does not officially support mods, but there is a complicated workaround for that. Steam Workshop will not work on Mac at all.

I wish they kept the video from the demo as well as the gods and kings video.
