Rifleman vs Gatling Gun
I don't get the advantage of having a gatling gun over a rifleman. Gatling guns replace the crossbow man, except they have to be next to the target to attack now instead of 2 spaces. They're slightly weaker than the Rifleman, have the same range, yet are in the same tier. What's the point in ever building a Gatling Gun then?

Enemy doesn't get to retaliate against the Gatling Gun.

Gatling Guns are still considered ranged units, so they don't get counter attacked. They're also able to shoot at naval units, and can be leveled up to get the +1 range perk.

Still, around that time in a game is when I tend to start focus on more "melee" units over ranged units, and just keep my veteran gatling guns, since without either a +1 range or double attack they feel a little gimpy.
