the game randomly crashes.

It has a critical error and crashes. Windows 7 does its screen white out and says "civ encountered an eroor and shut down, would you like to close?" no other option :(

I've been experiencing constant and consistent crashes myself with Gods and Kings. However for the most part they dont appear to be all that random in my case. On or about the Renaissance era the game will freeze and Windows is forced to shut it down.

An interesting note I think, I use a Radeon card. Of the poeple I know who also have Gods and Kings they aren't having these crashes. They also use Nvidia cards. Have to wonder if there's some issue there...

I have NVIDIA and I get a crash right after the beginning movie ends.

I use NVIDIA as well a GEFORCE GTX 260M if that helps any...

Thus far? There has been no fix. Not being able to play one of my all time favorite games is frustrating, to say the least. =(

It crashes repeatedly in DX10/11 mode; never in DX9 mode. This is literally the only game that I have this problem with DX modes. I have no problem running other games in modes above DX9, so I don't get it.. I've run all the troubleshooting tips as well. So, in a nutshell, I have no clue what causes the crashing.

Well i just its good to know its just not me and my dumb laptop. I can get itnot the game and load it and about 15min or sometime it would crash at all and it will run for hours but always have to run auto save just in case. lets hope it gets fixed soon. I;m new to Civ and I'm in love with this game. I wish I could do it on a large scale like a hugh game of risk! with all the country man this game is great!

Mine is even crashing in DX9 mode before it loads up. I can't play. :(

Thats weird, after hearing your stories though I dont think my problem is as bad as yours. Mine just crashes every now and then (hasnt for about a day and a half)

Am I the only one that doesnt crash? I play with all dlc and the game never crashes unless im playing with certain mods on.
