What is your favorite civ and why?
My favorite BNW civ is shoshone because you get a great head start with the ability to grab a lot of land and choice what benifits you want from ruins. Plus in the long run their +15% combat bonus in friendly lands helps a lot; especially when defence wonders/policies/and generals are added to that unique ability.

My favorite G&K Civ is Spain because they also get a great head start ( Civs that get a great head start are usally the ones you want to get, beraly anyone plays till the end of the game, might as well get a civ that is great in the begining to give you a boost and help you win) their ability to get +500 gold per natrual wonder ( if first to find it) is so amazing, as soon as I am the first to Find a wonder, I would buy a settler and settle it right next to it, for the amazing double bonus. ( the lake wonder can give you +12 food!! as spain that is two twice the amount of food the hanging gardens give you) The doulbe wonder bonus is amazing, they get double the happniess and if you pick the belief "one with nature" you'll get +8 faith per natrual wonder instead of 4. Another great wonder, foutain of youth, if you were to find this as spain you'll get +20 happniess when its in your boarders.!!! That is amazing, two times the happnies from Notre Dome. Spain's units are great too, their unqiue horse units helps with scouting and their rifleman are great for killing mount units.

I guess my favorite Vanilla civ would be the Aztecs, because the culture bonus can help you a lot in the begining for picking policies, and their unqiue building helps so much with population.
Floating gardens give +15% food production, wich is amazing when you add other benifits, like land ellite policy from the traditon tree which also gives +15% and +2 food. so than you'll already have +30% food production in your capital, its like having "we love the king day" every turn. Once you complete the whole traditon tree that is another +15%, so it'll be +45%, in the capital. And if you get the belief for another +15% if not in war that makes it +60%, and also if you get the +10%food produciton belif the total would be +75% food produciton, that is just insane. If you are having "we love the king day" than it would be a wooping +100% food produciton!!! That is double your normal food.
I think I got it right, if I made a mistake about the whole food produciton thing, let me know.

It was Denmark, but the shoshone swept me away. They have the coolest advantages, though Russias ain't bad either.

Iroquois (Hiawatha). Quiet, no annoying music. And being able to replay the story. )

I didn't know it was a crime to start a conversation, why would I go researching what people's favorite civs are?
Maybe I'm asking this questions so I can respond to people instantly, instead of responding to old ♥♥♥ post.
So take your attitude elsewhere.

Don't let the turd get to you Coolcolorofblack. My favorite is Boudicca because I'm an archaeologist and my passion is the iron age. Unfortunately I work in CRM in the US :(

I used to like Russia, France. Now I like Siam and Denmark. I used to like cultural bonuses, but now I like Civs that generate money and/or city state bonuses. Since I almost always play Random, there are a number of Civs I have yet to play as. Greece, I know gets some CS stuff, but I haven't had much luck with them.

My favourite civ (for now) is Japan. Previously Japan was only good while you're at war, but since they now gain culture from fishing boats and atolls I tend to play them alot more.

The best BNW civ is Venice because if you have a strong enough navy, you can get a lot of money quickly.

Best GK civ would be carthage because in BNW they spawn with a harbor that the rest of the civs can't get until the mideval era.

Civ 3, you could set caps on the age limit. 1000 years of knight wars is awesome.
