Having issue with difficulty

Ok, so I played and beat this game around the time it was released but I am having huge problems getting through it now. I'm at the part where Diablo is introduced and I keep getting triple teamed by the enemies. Any tips? I've probably gotten soft since games have gotten easier since 2002 but I really want to play through this again.

Play it on easy? Cheeky I know but thats what I do... after 30 years my abilities are not getting better lol :)

I was having issues too, even on Easy. Back in the day, I don't remember El Diablo missing on three out of every four attacks and getting one-shotted by thrown snowballs.

I eventually managed to beat the Ice Queens by luring them south and letting the two police officers take some heat for me. Once they weren't coming right at me, I could try again and again until El Diablo finally managed to hit them.

I mean, I'm willing to accept that maybe I'm just not as good at this game anymore, but I really feel like everyone is missing a whole lot more.

El Diablo's basic beam has always had crappy accuracy.

You basically said it I think. Games used to be hard, were designed to be hard and were expected by the gamers to be hard in 2002. Today they are hand holding exercises for the mentally impaired. No wonder we`re losing our edge...
Basically though, send Minuteman after the ice queens and keep Diablo away from them since he has a frost weakness. Minuteman has his shield thingy you can use while approaching, so he can clear them easily with a little help. And if you can find stuff to throw at them that`s even better. If the problem is before you free Minuteman then land Diablo instead of flying around, since he takes fall damage and gets stunned if he`s flying. You should also use his fire shield, if that`s available. I can`t remember exactly but it helps against missiles, which Diablo was always bad against.

Do get Minute man he must get past some ice queens,that have lots of stuff to throw around them

Diablos Attack does suck, and I DO mean suck, but there's method to the madness.

1. The Ice Queens don't have much in the way of missile attacks, and they only throw objects at Diablo if he's flying.

2, If you "right click attack" the Ice Queens with the Beam, then its virtually guaranteed to miss. You have to let the get "close", line them up so you aren't firing at awkward angles and then fire it.

But pound for pound, Diablo is about as useless a Hero as they come. He flies...... And thats about the only nice thing to day about him.

I don't know why you dislike Diablo that much... His punches are really good, he can fly, is strong and if you upgrade to the inferno attack... you will love him!
