Origin Captions Not Working?!

I have both Captions and Origin Captions enabled under the Sound Tab in the Options menu, but they still don't show up in the Intro or Origin cutscenes. I have the original disc of the game and never had this problem. Is the Steam version missing the relevant files perhaps?

I can install my original disc and compare the files to see if anything is missing. I'll update it in my next post.

Update: I've just installed my original disc version but it looks like all the files are there.

Any ideas or suggestions to get the captions working on Steam?
