let's talk about what I enjoyed first: the story is well done here, the art direction is incredible and the music sets the tone so well. As a fan of the previous two Bioshock games from a story perspective this game is icing on the cake but it all falls apart when the shooting starts. While the previous games had you build your own private arsenal of weaponry with all kinds of different ammo types, this game allows you two guns at a time with a single type of ammo for each weapon. The previous games in this series allowed you to administer your own life and energy replinishment items, this is now handled for you automaticallly on pick up or tosseed to you by an AI. Most offensive of all though is the addition of an overshield and regenerating health. These modern conventions took an extreme toll on the core gameplay and as a result his game essentially became Modern Warfare steampunk edition. Additionally, the powers here are mostly retreads of the powers from the previous games and the underutilized skyhook mechanic is a disappointment as well. If you have played the other two Bioshock games I would say play this for the story but otherwise skip this as the gameplay is tailored to the lowest common denominator in the worst possible way.
