Not a video game, an interactive movie.
This is not a video game. You're buying and watching an interactive movie.
Video games are challenging and revolve around gameplay, not graphics or story.
Interactive movies are immersive user experiences with vivid cut scenes and visuals.

2K Games makes interactive movies, not video games.

Bioshock 1 was barely as linear as you are thinking. it's actually open world, and so is Infinite (don't hold my word on it, that's speculation from what we've heard so far about it)

COD? yeah thats an interactive movie
but bioshock 1 is barely like that. sure it has it's linearity but in the end it's all about exploring and using the map to find things.

I can't tell the OP is trolling or actually believes what he says.

"Video games are challenging and revolve around gameplay, not graphics or story.

Says the guy with COD 4, Dragon Age: Origins, and L.A. Noire.

I can't see how this could possibley be true, unless jumping from rail to rail is extreamly limited, and the guns do auto tracking.

why is this a bad thing? i like the idea that some games are like interactive movies.

I don't think it's a bad thing, just not accurate. "interactive movie" is usually a term to describe a very linear theatrical game. One that has many scripted elements and usually a lot of quick time events to make the pre-rendered cutscenes "interactive".

All of Bioshock 1 and 2's narrative is told through the first person's perspective. Very little narration (with the exception of the ending sequence) and most of the game's story is left to the player to "figure out".

Also, the games usually have many choice elements that change the endings (though I haven't heard about that with Infinite).

I love how he's saying this despite the fact that the game isn't even released.

Ive seen the guy post a few times about bioshock. Ether trolling or has a problem with 2k or bioshock itself. Bioshock 1 from what ive played is nothing like an interactive movie.....

The only game I would describe as an interactive movie is Final Fantasy XIII.

cod isn't an interactive movie... that is giving it way to much credit.

funny how you don't own a single bioshock game and only played one game from 2k
