Whats with $20 DLC for a $60 game that hasn't even been released yet?

Terrible for consumers. This must end.

Not sure i agree with this TBH. Season passes give you the DLC for usually half the price you would usually pay for them. I don't really see that as being 'bad for consumers'.

i think he means that why should we pay for content that should already be in the game in the first place

Personally i hate DLC in general. But again i don't really agree with what your saying. Just becuase it's DLC dosent mean it's been cut from the game originally.

I do wish devs would give up DLC and release proper expansions, since DLC really is over priced for what you get. However from a consumer stand point season passes are good for consumers because as i said you get the releases for atleast (usuall) half the price they are when released individually.

because its not actually been made yet? ken levine said himself on twitter the DLC is nowhere near completion and none of the DLC is cut content from the game

You're not forced to buy it. If you don't want or like it, don't buy it.

Dr mckay, please enjoy your game that you payed for, but only recieved part of. Maybe you would like a hotdog with only a bun, but no meat?

That's not even close to an apt comparison. The first DLC will be released later.

To go with the food analogy, it's more like buying a hot dog with bun, meat, and all, and seeing a bag of chips on your way out that they just stocked, which they want to charge you money for.

Some of the Bioshock Infinite DLC will contain entire new storylines.

actually 2014 is when they stated that all the DLC will be released by then
but still, base game is gonna have ALL of the content anyway and wont just be a "part" so your point still stands. i bet the DLC wont even feature booker as the playable character, as its been stated that "playing only infinite and NONE of the DLC is the full story experience", so it might be a completely different playable character too

Thanks. I edited my post to be more correct.

A *new* industry standard i'm afraid. Before we the consumers can determine whether or not this game is trash, this is all offered to us. I've yet to see enough hands on gameplay to justify purchasing this game. Couple that with the potential of a currently $50 game as a preorder bonus.

Call me paranoid if you like but that is one serious red flag that came up for me.

wouldnt be the first game to do this as a pre-order bonus. Crisis 3 came with 1&2 if you ordered from certain places, as did Dead Space 3. XCOM came with Civ 5 as well. Incentives like this are nothing new really
