As in the price for the game? $60? That has been the standard price for games for a long time. But as game quality goes down, prices stay the same or go up. Back, then I wouldn't mind dropping 60 bones, cause the games were amazing.

Blame the Publishers, not the Developers.

Either way I am okay waiting a couple months for it to go on sale for $40.

If you have any TF2 items that can be sold on the market, try selling them and use the wallet credit to buy it.

Smart man, now come with me, we will take any stolen goods and you are free to go.
That's exactly what I did :) Had a S.F Bat and sold it for like $63

In the early 1990's, a new PC game was typically $45 to $50. In 2013 terms, that's $79 to $88 dollars. So the fact that the game costs only $60 now, means it is actually CHEAPER than straight-up Inflation suggests it should be.

PC game prices are artificially lower than they should be; this is because most game-buyers are CHEAP B@ST@RDS. By rights, the stock edition of BS:I should be a ninety dollar game.

Regardless, Irrational Games is one of the few developers whose games I actually want to pay full price for to support them.
Lambda Delta Feb 14, 2013 @ 1:01am
Are you kidding me? Irrational games have always produced top notch games. This game, I pray to god, will be a fantastic piece of art.

At least you're getting something worth your money, as opposed to Call of Duty: Lets remake the same game and slam some DLC on there because you're all addicted. (I'm not saying it's a bad game, i'm just saying that it's extortionate).

Supporting developers such as Irrational who slam out a game once every few years isn't such a bad thing.

I'm not kidding anyone, I'm being completely serious here, a can justify 50$ price for DVD or BluRay version or even more for collectors edition with art book and other stuff but i cannot really justify it for the downloadable content

sure, because price of making of a copy now is ridiculously low
GM Pax Feb 15, 2013 @ 2:14pm
First, the cost of producing the disk or the cartridge is a _miniscule_ factor in determining the cost of a game or movie.

Second, the why is irrelevant anyway. The truth of the matter is, the overall price of a good video game has gone DOWN, in terms of the relative buying power you need to expend in order to acquire a copy.

By rights, a PC game should cost between $80 and $90 American dollars. That's just keeping the same general price, _adjusted for inflation_, from 1990 to 2013.

easy, is a fantastic game! how much do you want?
