So stuttering still isn't fixed.
I haven't really been keeping up with this, but it seems crazy to me that it's been nearly a month since the game came out, and there still isn't a solution for the non-loading related stutter that many people (seems to primarily be people using i7s) experience in Infinite.

2K/Irrational really dropped the ball when it came to QA to push the game out like that, but to go this long without a new build that fixes it seems pretty unconscionable. It would be one thing if they were keeping us updated with their progress on such a large issue, but the silence is deafening.

To say that this reflects poorly on them would be an enormous understatement.

well, YOU find a solution then, if it's so easy.
Where exactly did he state that it was easy? Gamers jumping to defend developers as if they should be exempt from criticism is exactly what allows ♥♥♥♥♥ like this to happen. Don't get me wrong, I loved the hell out of this game. According to the forums at the offficial site they are already working on fixing the issue, so for that I am grateful. But it is not unreasonable for a consumer to be upset that a company has not fixed a problem with a product they put in their customers hands over a month ago.
Angry isn't the word; moderately disappointed and perhaps a bit frustrated would be more accurate. I don't think I said anything suggesting otherwise.

I'm entirely sympathetic to the difficulties of development, but the game was borderline unplayable for the majority of the time that I spent with it, and support for most of its issues has been exceedingly limited. Whether the fault lies with the publisher or the developer remains to be seen, but is largely irrelevant from a customer satisfaction perspective.

All I'd like to see is a modicum of proper support for what was supposed to be their flagship title this year. That's not unreasonable.

Such kind supportive words, eh?
What exactly do you envision is going on in their offices? Do you think all the programmers and managers are just sitting round, ignoring the few issues?
Personally, I reckon it's far more realisttic to imagine that they're scratching their heads, trying to figure out what's causing problems for some users, whilst others are running it fine. They may not have communicated, because (potentially)
a) you're behaving like a d1ck, and they feel no obligation towards you because of your negative attitude
b) they really have nothing to go on yet
c) they're still awaiting some feedback from some third party regarding tracing some issue, which puts them back at b)

I've worked on tracking and fixing bugs with a few software companies over the years, and not once has any of those companies wanted to engage in a discussion with a ranting, negativity-fuelled pr1ck.
It's rare to be involved or answered anyway, but it certainly isn't going to happen whilst you're moaning about them and throwing an online hissy fit.
So you worked in QA? That's nice. I've done it too, and it's grueling, mind-numbing work that is often thankless and under-appreciated. It's still something that has to be done, (although it needn't be so grueling as it often is) and a game shipped without it is something that should be called out, especially when it's a AAA title which certainly has the budget for good QA.

Regardless of your QA experience, I would kindly suggest that you stay far away from anything public-facing though, because you're not very good with people. I mean, someone posts a calm, reasonable complaint, and you start cussing them out? I think your response speaks for itself.

If this were a difficult issue to repro and Irrational were communicating with us about it, that would be one thing. But it isn't, and they aren't. It seems to occur very frequently on extremely common hardware that should have been part of their testing profile, and as such, reproing it is likely not all that challenging.

As an aside and as an example of a particularly elusive bug that has evaded developers for years, look at the Source 2007 Nvidia DX10 hardware crash bug. Both Nvidia and Valve have been trying to kill that one forever, but because it happens so intermittently, reliably reproing it is incredibly hard. It's the complete opposite of this situation here; the issue occurs 100% of the time on affected hardware.

Edit: Typos. Me sleepy.

Nope, the issue does not occur 100% of the time. You know that's not true, and yet you still type it.
Why?
You did not post a calm, reasonable complaint, you posted a moaning bitchfest.
If you want help, or want TO help, get in tough with 2K games, go through the right channels, and add something meaningful to the discussion. Your posting here is essentially talking about them behind their backs, in a manner. It solves nothing, it assists nothing, and all it's likely to achieve is to make the game company want to ignore you, and your problems.
Did it ever occur to you that perhaps I did? That there's a huge thread on their forum about this very issue? The only official response that anyone has gotten was a single tweet from one developer that they were aware and working on it, but that was several weeks ago.

Seriously, if you think this is moaning and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you haven't seen moaning and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Couldnt agree with you more
I'm sure it's not as easy as changing one thing on millions of lines of code. It takes time to fix and test and all that jazz. If the stuttering when loading is the only thing that is a problem with the game unless it freezes on you when doing that or something I don't think it's a big deal.
thats not the stuttering that most people are on about
its the sudden pauses and massive spikes in framerates, this stutter is prevalent almost everywhere for allot of people irregardless of hardware, not something thats simply confined to a checkpoint or loading a new area
@ALL: The Stuttering is caused by the Steam Community Overlay, Read here on how to disable it to make the game run smoothly and properly > http://steamcommunity.com/app/8870/discussions/0/828934724090557861/

No it isn't, EternalCore. Please stop posting inaccurate information everywhere. You do this in EVERY game's discussion threads.

I have no stuttering. It is your computer.

It doesn't affect everyone. It seems to primarily be people with i7s and other hyperthreaded processors.

hyperthreaded processors.
For years, hyperthreading was a major cause of issues in several audio workstations. I wonder if a similar issue is raising it's ugly head?
