Buyer Beware.
So I believed all the hype and bought the game. What a waste of money. For $60 I get a corridor shooter the likes of Duke Nukem Forever. I mean really people? 95 on metacritic? Am I playing a different game then everyone else? The NPCs are almost mannequins and basically copy and pasted around the world. All you do is go from one box to another and search trash cans while shooting bad guys. BORING. The story doesn't make sense and I can't relate to it nor does it draw me in. I played it for 4 hours and realized I can't afford to waste my precious gaming time on this POS. So I message steam for a refund and guess what?! They don't give refunds! Wow. So I'll definitely be buying games a couple years after they come out now and paying pennies on the dollar. No sense risking $60 on total rubbish.

Am I the only one that hates this game??

Hilarious. You've put 4.5 hours into the game on levels that are nowhere near what a corridor shooter would be like. Did you play with your screen turned off?

Yes, you are. Why would steam give you a refund? That's like going to mcdonalds and asking for a refund on a hambuger because it has meat in it.

they won't give you a refund because you don't like a game you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥, it has to be broken or false advertise (and hype doesn't fall in that catigory ex. Aliens Colonial Marines)
and yes i as well hate it, 1999 mode is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with no immersion what so ever, enemies are poorly executed, and the story is utter crap with the ending that doesn't make sense (paradoxes will NEVER work in a story)

If I don't like the way a burger tastes at mcdonalds yes they will refund my money.

Yeah that is fine Im a f-ing a hole whatever lol. They can keep the money. I consider it an investment in my own knowledge.

Just posting here to let everyone know that hasn't bought it to try it out on a friends computer or xbox first. They wouldn't do a demo because they know the sales wouldn't have been as good so really this is your only way to try it.

The levels look like they are open and big but they aren't and your are stuck in little corridors most of the time.

Also from the screenshots and videos it looks like a living breathing world but it is far from it.

I am dumbfounded when I read about people saying they like to explore and play multiple times. What is there to explore? A trash can or two?!
MonkeyPony 21 abr. 2013 às 21:02
They don't refund if it's broken either.

I'm just going to throw this video out there, I'm glad someone on this planet was able to correctly sum up my feelings on this game. Especially why it left such a bad taste in my mouth.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJ2cSKBFBDQ

I'll probably post my own thread for this video because honestly, too many people allow the ending to overwrite a title full of backwards game design. Awesome art design tough, and yes it's still a "good" game. Yet in the end I was let down, not when comparing it to other titles, but when actually comparing this piece of work to Irrational's last outing.

Why would they do a demo for a single player, story driven game? Makes no sense at all.

Unfortunate that you didn't like it - but it really is a brilliant game, to me and a lot of other people it seems.

I don't know when companies stopped doing demos...There was a demo for Kingdoms Almur. I remember there was a demo for Duke Nukem 3d. There are tons of games that have demos for single player I am pretty sure.
