Game crashes with "Bioshock Infinite has stopped working" before even launching. Very bad.
It's so bad that I cannot play the game after waiting for so long. The game is crashing as soon as I click "Play" in steam. I have tried going to offline mode, all the drivers are latest, tried forcing vsync. Been 12 hours since my game is installed but couldnt even seen the intro videos.

I see that this problem has been seen by many people. Hope we get a solution soon.
Very bad for such a game development giant ending up with broken and unstable product. Never faced such problem with any game before.

I had the same problem. Its weird, I played the game Payday the Heist for about 2 minutes to make sure my other steam games worked, After I exited Payday, I started up Bioshock and it worked just fine. Now, however, it wont start up again.

Had this problem also, nothing helped until i've had the idea to disconnect my usb flightstick from speedlink. So if you have any usb gamepad, joystick or whatever connected, remove it and try then to start the game.

i have played BI for about 5 hours and still i havent gotten anywhere because the game keeps crashing on me, i have 16GB ram, Nvidia geforce 660 TI all my drivers are up to date, game cache is verified and nothing seems wrong, however everytime i play and i have to leave an area it crashes on me while loading the new area.
after the crash it even freezes a couple of times at the 2K beginning...

i have tried lowering my graphics, reinstalling the game, and now even a new game but that got stuck even at the intro screen..

Brother, turn off the ambiant occlusion in the game settings. And turn in on from the Nvidia Control Panel. BI uses HDAO which is more of an AMD thing. By doing the above mentioned thing you will use SSAO instead of HDAO.

Tried that. Didnt work. Problem is something related to the ntdll.dll according to the crash dump. :(
