"Requires Directx"

When I try to start the game, it tells me that I need to have directx on my computer. I have directx installed, and it even says so when I try torun the included executable. Any suggestions?

Yep. When downloading the latest runtime it told me that an equal or newer version was detected

Ive had issues similar to that in the past. In my case, i have a nvidia card. I had to go into the nvidia control panel and under 3d settings change a few things. cant remember what exactly, but that did solve my issue

bump. I have the same issue, and it's bugging the hell out of me. I've read multiple threads everywhere saying it has something to do with permissions, uninstalling directx 9, service packs,uninstalling the game, verifying integrity.
I've done all of these and no luck. I've been waiting around for hours
Please help. This game looks fantastic. I'd like to play it.
