cant launch since episode 2 release

keep getting error 55 saying cant launch because of busy servers.error 55 says something about anti virus programs running? but i dont even have any running.also other games still launch just fine

I posted saying I had the exact same issue, got deleted somehow?

Maybe game is broken for most of us and the Devs are deleting all the posts about it...

that's an issue with steam, not the game.
a couple other games do have the same issue, hope it gets resolved soon

Maybe they just delete it because they are duplicit. I posted it too, hopefully someone will start addressing this issue

same with me. it was fine before the 2nd episode came out. Now i keep getting error 55.

same here, I don't have avast installed and C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\Steamservice.exe /Install did nothing!

Hoping for fix!

Well I know I got the season pass when it was up for $5 for a few hours during the last sale. Hope that's not it...

weird..works for me, win 8.1. did you guys all do fresh installs or has bioshock been on yr disk & working since you got it?

Same here. I tried to switch Steam to offline mode, but this doesn't help either. Then it just says "finishing install" but nothing ever happens. We'll have to wait and see...

Worked before the update for a fact. I booted it up this morning thinking I could play the game through the main game, which I could if it had been downloaded yet.
